Origins in Bulgaria
Elena’s parents establish a textile workshop in Bulgaria. Over the years, the business grows and extends its expertise to making parasols and their canopies.
A new chapter in Switzerland
Elena Lasserre-Chalakova moves to Switzerland. Gradually, an idea takes shape: to introduce Swiss professionals to her family’s expertise and the parasols made by her parents’ company.
Bain de Soleil is founded
Bain de Soleil is created to bring this idea to life. From Switzerland, we help professionals choose and customise their parasols, working directly with the family business.

Bain de Soleil’s expertise is rooted in Elena’s parents’ company in Bulgaria. Their building houses several workshops. Around 6,000 finished large parasols leave the company each year.
More than 35 years of textile experience, including over 25 years making parasols, are reflected in the daily work: understanding materials, mastering construction and bringing each project to life.

In one of the company’s workshops, the machines, fabrics and frames convey the scale of the work carried out every day.
Family ties are at the heart of this relationship. They enable direct discussions with the company about materials, printing and construction, helping each project come together.
From a single parasol to several hundred, this relationship allows us to support both independent terraces and larger projects.
